Perspectives of Social Media

1.       The worst social media campaign is still better that than not doing anything. This is something that I have really learned to understand throughout this semester. During this semester I really got to learn how you can use social media to benefit yourself and your company, but even if you do not properly use social the publicity you get from any social media campaign.  2.       Keeping relationships while being professional. While on social media, you are there so that you can gain popularity as well as gain notoriety for your brand. But while you’re on social media you have to make sure that you remain professional. This is crucial because people need to view you as a professional organization in order to trust you.  3.       There is no such thing as too much social media.  I found this to be true this semester because even though sometimes it can be annoyi...

30 years of community service

As we have seen all semester long we are here to give people the recognition that people deserve and this person is as deserving as anyone else we've seen so far.  This person is Monica Brigham who is getting an award for the community service she has done with organizations such as her local united way, and her development of the Kankakee county community foundation. Her work with the easy street theatre which is a place where actors with special abilities can perform is something that is inspirational to all those who have a will and a drive to serve others.  She is a real inspiration to all people who want to help others in and for that we have to say thank you to Monica Brigham.

Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

Being how closer we are to relay, and the encounters that my family has had with breast cancer I felt that this would be a great article to share with everyone. This article is about how two of the major players in the fight against breast cancer are teaming up to making the "strides against breast cancer walk" in order to continue the fight against breast cancer. This is something that is great to see because they know that the more people that are working in the same direction means that hopefully we can one day see an end to this terrible disease.  https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/american-cancer-society-welcomes-avon-as-national-presenting-sponsor-of-making-strides-against-breast-cancer-walks-300627450.html

Community Service Hero

This blog is all about posts like these, the small posts about giving recognition to those who give themselves everyday in order to help others.  Special police officer Lori Miranda who's efforts in helping organizations such as American Cancer Society. I feel that since we have our annual relay for life coming up this weekend makes this a great time to recognize the selfless efforts of this "community service hero" Lori Miranda. https://www.capecodtoday.com/article/2018/04/16/238794-Community-Service-Hero-Dennis-Police-Department
Helping others can be done in many ways and is not always going and doing community service. Sometimes it can be giving a voice to the voiceless and standing up for what you believe in. As shown here when Delta Tau Delta had their annual white ribbon campaign.
